tennis 2Just wanted to type up a quick article to let everyone know about all the improvements that we have made at the Tennis Courts thanks in large part to Steve Sullivan.  Please walk down there and take a look when you get a chance.  Here is a list of the improvements:

  • Added trees around exterior of tennis courts (thanks to Bobby Chapman and Steve)
  • Added pine straw on far side of tennis courts to make it more natural and reduce mowing
  • Planted crepe myrtles below concrete wall
  • Stained concrete wall adjacent to tennis courts (gray)
  • Painted building at tennis courts (gray with white trim)
  • Repaired roof on building at tennis courts.  (thanks to Jim Hogan and Jim Bliss)
  • Added red mulch around exterior of tennis courts
  • Trimmed trees and branches around exterior
  • Added a stacked stone wall adjust to walkway leading up to tennis courts
  • Backfilled stacked stone wall with dirt and added red mulch
  • Added three knockout rose bushes and other flowers
  • Added a new gate onto tennis courts (done in March)
  • Installed basketball goal (done in March/April)
  • Contracted with TRUGREEN to maintain turf (done in March)

Again, I want to say a BIG thanks to Steve Sullivan for taking the lead in doing a lot of the work at the tennis courts (i.e. creating the stack stoned wall, staining the concrete wall, painting the building, planting the trees, etc….).  If you see Steve around the neighborhood, please thank him for all the work he has done because I guarantee it has only helped improve your property value.
