imageThe following changes are being made to the codes for the sport court due to vandalism and loitering:

SPORT COURT MAIN GATE

The code for the gate to get into the sport court will be changed this week due to recent vandalism of the basketball backboard.  An email will be sent out to confirm that the code has been changed.  If you would like the code, just reply to the email and it will be provided to you.  The backboard will be replaced in mid January. The cost will be $850.  If anyone has any information about the person that committed the crime, please let me, Bobby Chapman or Steve Sullivan know so that this person can be prosecuted according to the law.  $850 is not chump change for our subdivision and it saddens me that someone would destroy the backboard.  It appears that someone shot a BB gun or pellet gun at the backboard and that is what resulted in its destruction.

SPORT COURT BUILDING

The code for the building at the sport court has already been changed because several neighbors have seen people loitering around the building in the afternoon and at night. Also, some things have been taken out of the building and the door has not been kept shut properly.  Therefore, the code for this building is only available upon request. I have my doubts that many neighbors are using the tennis courts at night.  If you would like to use the tennis courts at night, you will need the code.  Otherwise, there is no need for anyone to have the code. We will investigate options for putting the light switch and timer on the exterior of the building in 2014.

  1. Is the shattered backboard the vandalism, or was there something else done?
