The first HOA spring workday will be here before you know it and this is your first chance to get a coupon for a $25 discount off dues in 2014. Here are answers to some questions you may have about the work day and the coupon process for this year:
Q: Why are we offering people coupons to help on work days?
A: Our participation for the work day in the fall was low. We want to try to incent people to help.
Q: How do I get the coupon?
A: You must work for 3 hours (9 a.m. to 12 noon) on April 20. We will email you your coupon after the work day. You must provide your email address to us to participate in the workday.
Q: If me and my wife both work on April 20, do we get two coupons?
A: No, only one coupon will be issued per household for each workday.
Q: How do I redeem the coupon?
A: Enclose your coupon with your 2014 dues payment.
Q: Why can’t I redeem the coupon for 2013 dues?
A: We need to be able to plan for the coupon redemptions in our budget. Therefore, we need a count of potential coupons to factor in the decreased revenue for 2014.
Q: How many coupons can I get this year?
A: You have the chance to get two $25 coupons for a total $50.
Q: When will I have another opportunity to help and earn a coupon?
A: We will have another work day in the Fall where you can help with some things.
Q: What if I lose my coupon before I need to pay dues in 2014?
A: We will keep a record of the coupons issued so that nobody can try to redeem one that they did not earn. You will need to email us to request another.
Q: Do I have to redeem the coupon or can I just work to help make my neighborhood a better place?
A: You don’t have to redeem the coupon. If you want to donate your time to improve your community that is your choice. Just let us know if you don’t want it.
