representative-iconAt a recent board meeting, Steve Sullivan floated the idea of a block rep.  In a previous neighborhood that Steve lived in these were the responsibilities:

Block reps were responsible for 8 – 9 houses.

  1. Welcomed new neighbors in their rep area and forwarded the family info (names, phone #’s etc.) to the HOA.
  2. Organized meals for their rep area when someone was sick or had a death in their family.
  3. HOA purchased ready made Christmas mail box decorations (for a small cost) for all homes that wanted to participate in the subdivision and then the rep was responsible for getting      them put on.
  4. Put HOA luminaries (candles on street) out at Christmas.

This is something we could try in our neighborhood if we have enough people who are interested in playing the role.  We would need about 10 block reps to work with 9 homes each.  Please take the survey to express your interest in being a block rep.
