Minutes-300x278We had the annual meeting for the HOA last night at Oak Hill Baptist Church at 6:30.  The people in attendance voted to continue with the same board.  The attached document provides a copy of the agenda that was discussed last night.  Also attached here is a link to the current budget for 2012.  Here is a list of the people that attended:

  • Bobby Chapman
  • Elma Hyder
  • Tommy Edwards
  • David Rotter
  • Clay Abney
  • Lester Brown
  • Steve Sullivan
  • Joan Sullivan
  • Mary Whitaker

As a group we made the following decisions:

  • Pursue the help of an attorney to assist in updating and revising covenants to protect Homeowners and the Association.  More details on this will come at a later date as we make decisions on how to proceed.
  • Open the pool on 5/17/13 and close the week after Labor Day on 9/8/13.  This is a close date that is earlier than last year.
  • Test the idea of giving out coupons to households that assist in work days to provide an incentive.  Households who work for a minimum of 2 hours on a workday will be eligible for a $25 coupon that they can apply to 2014 dues. If we have two workdays an you participate for two hours at each, you could be eligible for a $50 discount.  Each household must hold the coupon until 2014 and send it in with their dues check to receive the discount.
  • Pursue the idea of installing a basketball goal on one of the tennis courts to get more use out of the flat space while also securing the gate at the Tennis courts with a punch code lock similar to the one that is on the pool.
  • Keep a minimum amount of money in the bank to be determined by the board.

The board will meet in December to plan the budget for 2013 and prioritize expenses for the year.  If you have any questions, please feel free to email bramlett.shoals@gmail.com.
