Steve Sullivan received the letter from the Gwinnett DOT regarding the results of the Speeding Study.  Click here to see a copy of the letter.  Basically the letter says that Bramlett Blvd does not meet the minimum county requirements to have speed bumps installed.  Marta Crane Drive does meet the minimum requirements.  If you take a look at the letter one of the most shocking things is the number of vehicles that drive up and down our streets in a 24-36 hour period.

The next steps on the speeding study are for the folks who live off Marta Crane (with a Marta Crane address) to decide if they want to sign a petition to have speed bumps installed.  We are working to get some more details on exact costs.  We think the cost is about $10 extra per year on your property taxes.  We also plan to get photos of dimensions of what the speed bumps look like.

Tommy Edwards (who lives on Marta Crane) has volunteered to take the lead in speaking with the homeowners on Marta Crane about the petition for speed bumps.  He will be making the rounds up and down the street soon so please speak with Tommy and share your opinion.  If you have any questions, you can email bramlett.shoals@gmail.com and I’ll forward any emails to Tommy.
